John T. Luken holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Bellarmine College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work. He is certified for clinical social work private practice in both Kentucky and Indiana, and is also designated as a Board Certified Diplomat by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.

John has been in private practice since 1974 with primary focus in the medical field. Over the past twenty years, he has consulted with most major hospitals in Louisville and Southern Indiana on issues ranging from the psychosocial needs of patients to case management and discharge planning.

John Luken and his staff currently provide social services and discharge planning for Louisville Area Hospitals and Long Term Care Facilities. In addition, John consults to area nursing homes and home health agencies on case management and quality of life issues.
