This
program will raise the participant's level of awareness for
the potential for violence in their workplace. Helpful guidelines
and examples will assist employees in recognizing behaviors
that may lead to violence and how to intervene in a safe and
responsible manner. Suggestions for good management practice
are provided to make the workplace a safe environment for
everyone. Participants will learn the importance of providing
proactive and enlightened leadership.
Three
key topics to be discussed:
- Risk
factors that cause or contribute to assault
- Techniques
for preventing or diffusing hostile situations/behavior
- Standard
response action plan for workplace violence
