am writing this letter to recommend the services of John Luken
and Associates.
I
have been associated with John for 9 years, and have always
respected his insight about the long-term care industry, and
his ability to change as the industry changed.
John
and his associates play a valuable role in referring, assessing,
and coordinating patient transfers to our facility.
Currently
John has two associates, who work very closely with us ant
the hospitals. We have found this relationship to be extremely
valuable in terms of increasing our census on continuing basis.
As
you know the primary goal of a hospital discharge planner/case
manager is to get the patient out of the hospital as quickly
as possible. John and his associates provide us with accurate
and complete information prior to admission to our facility.
This helps ensure that there are no surprises when a patient
is admitted. The legwork that they provide is worth every
penny.
By
representing a group of facilities and by being willing to
do all the discharge planning legwork, hospital personnel
tend to refer to us first rather than playing phone tag with
other facilities which insures that Meadowview is considered
first rather than last. The numbers speak for themselves.
As a result of employing John Luken and Associates, our occupancy
rate remains consistent at 99-100%.
John
respects the importance of being an advocate for the patient
and for the facilities he represents.
Having
a representative in the hospital allows our hospitalized nursing
home patients to be seen personally which is good public relations
for Meadowview and a comfort to the resident and family. This
also allows Meadowview to receive regular and accurate information
as to the patients' progress, prognosis, and anticipated return.
By
having a representative in the hospitals daily, on our behalf,
this allows my Director of Admissions to spend her time doing
what she needs to do, which is admit residents.
